最近，Vista 真的是令我“西北”肚懒！经常都会有兼容性的问题发生。最重要的原因是，我之前买了一台作为乐器音效、以及录音的装置，是透过 USB 连接到电脑，然后与软件配合才能使用。
其实这个装置本身就有音卡（Sound Card），所以相信与 Vista 的驱动程式有一些冲突。当这台装置衔接上电脑后，OS 本身就会混淆或者说，不知道选择驱动哪一个音卡，所以无法同时的播歌以及使用这个装置。原因很简单，如果说录音后，通常我们都会将录好的曲子试听一遍，但是我却要将这个装置从 USB 移走以及推出与这个装置的驱动软件，方可听歌。要是我要听着旋律，进行录音呢？这代表说，我无法同时间的进行这项工作！
我记得 XP 能够让我们做选择，但是 Vista 却很“本事”的把两个音卡同时检测到，并列出。但是，却没有其他的方法让你去选择使用或不！
我的录音装置：Line 6 UX-2 Tone Port
我的电脑内置音效卡：Realtek HD Audio
我的OS：Windows Vista Home Ultimate
我的录音软件：Ableton
我决定尝试把现有的 Vista 降级至 XP，可是我失败了。（XP 比 Vista 来得上手，所以我决定直接降级）当我把 XP 的光盘放入光盘机，以便让 XP 的安装程式自行运行。可是在检测所有的硬体后，页面停留在蓝屏，并列出报错号：0x0000007B
上网大约的搜索资料后，发现可能是 XP 的安装程式里头不包含 SATA 硬盘的驱动程式。过后，我有努力的搜索了一下资料，发现我们可以按自己规格定制 XP 的安装程式（Customization），但是需要第三者的软件的配合，才可以做到。我下了一个叫做 NLite 的软件，然后依据指示把 SATA 的驱动程式加入到 XP 的安装程式里。完成后，我再一次的尝试安装，可还是失败了。
除了上面的步骤，我也尝试了其他的如：
1）使用比较新版本的 XP
2）更改 Bios 的设置（想要把 SATA 给禁止，但是 Bios 已经被 Sony 这个王八蛋给锁上了）
3）Fdisk 后再装 - - 还是失败了！
现在有一点头疼，不知道要从何下手。我看，我必要从头开始过，寻找看看是否 Line 6 有没有任何的对策来解决这个问题！TMD！

1）尝试了各种更新 - - 还是不能达单选一张音效卡播放所有的 Output
2）尝试了 ASIO，可是安装的时候有报错 - - rtkvac.sys not found
3）开始质疑是否只是 Realtek 的问题，所以下载了最新的驱动程式
4）安装最新的驱动程式 - - 完成！
总结：
若有任何人使用 Vista 操作系统，然后使用内建的 Realtek HD Audio 音效卡，安装 Line 6 TonePort UX2 以及 GearBox 后，可能会导致音效卡与 Line 6 的装置冲突。建议直接下载最新版本的 Realtek HD Audio 驱动程式 (Vista_R219 - March 18, 2009) ，然后直接安装便可。
兜兜转转了这么多的步骤，原来是TMD RealTek 的音效卡驱动程式的问题，真是浪费精神与时间。

If you are using Line 6 TonePort UX2 and GearBox on a Vista system, please have a look on this.
I've experienced on this, and I suspect the issue was due to Vista OS compatibility issue initially. My Laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-FW12G, 2GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz. Its come with a built-in sound card which is from RealTek. The model is: Realtek HD Audio. After I installed the the TonePort on the USB port, I found I cannot have my TonePort and my others audio/video player on my computer work simultaneously (including media player, flash player, iTune, and those plug-ins on my internet browser)
I tried to upgrade all possible drivers of Line 6, but still failed to play any audio via the TonePort instead of the build in sound card. I started a research and even try to downgrade the OS back to XP, but still failed (The brilliant Sony was locked up the BIOS and cause the failed of XP installation).
When I try to install a driver called 'ASIO4all', I found something appear weirdly on my computer. Whatever codec or driver which I tried to install (recommended by those forums), there is an error message pop up during the installation - - 'rtkvac.sys not found', and it force the abortion of installation.
I tried to search for the latest version of Realtek driver, and I found there is a latest release one which is on March 2009. I downloaded and install the driver for replacing the existing one.
The miracle happen! Now I am allow to 'choose' the preferred hardware for playing songs and using my TonePort simultaneously! Wow! I have been circle around on this issue with tries but it still cannot get rid of the problem. End up, the problem resolved by just a simply update on the Realtek HD Audio sound card. That's it! What the F**k!
